About us
Training, teaching, television production management, colour therapy and counselling are what Talking Hands is known for.
Maryna Langenhoven started her career in television as a production assistant. Over the years, she worked in variety, education and sport as a PA, production manager, floor manager, script writer, director and producer.
One of the highlights of her career was being the first director for programmes for the Deaf in South Africa. This love and passion was then extended into training videos for Wits Language School which offered courses to the Departments of Health, Welfare and Social Services. It then culminated into a training video called “Signing to your child” teaching hearing people basic Sign Language.
Another aspect of her life was being a production manager on international cricket. She worked on the Cricket World Cup in South Africa in 2003, and for 8 years afterwards was commissioned by ESPN India and Sony India on various international cricket events.
The cherry on the proverbial cake was working with ESPN America on the Soccer World Cup in 2010. Being exposed to working alongside a disciplined and motivated crew of 350 people was the perfect step towards a career in training, sharing all the experience of many years in the industry.
She recently entered into the world of training and teaching teenagers. This varies from colour therapy, counselling, extra Afrikaans lessons and giving life skills, as well as working with the mothers. (Fathers are very welcome, but haven’t joined yet)
As a registered Aura-Soma Level 3 (Bridge) therapist, colour therapy forms an integral part of her life. “Colour is good for the soul” as it states on her business cards. Her youngest client is two years old, and the oldest client is 76 years young.
Maryna was born to teach.
