TRAINING
The training side of Maryna’s career started as early as 1991 when she was the Training Officer for Production Assistants at the SABC Training Department.
In 1994 she trained the first Sign Language interpreters to appear on television, trained a Deaf person to do subtitles and then trained other directors in program making for Deaf viewers.
This was followed by the training of technical PA’s for e.tv Morning Edition Live (2 ½ hours live broadcast) in 2001.
Between 2008 and 2010 Maryna trained MNet Magic Factory interns as production assistants, the majority of whom have been placed in the industry and are doing very well. (See references)
In 2010 Maryna also informally trained production managers in India to work on the local IPL cricket series.
Her standards are high, quality of work is emphasised and basic life skills to cope with the working environment is continuously worked into all aspects of her training.

Being given the opportunity to be trained by Maryna was an experience that I will forever be grateful of. I was trained by Maryna straight after my Motion Picture degree. At that point I thought I was ready for work, only to find out that I was not ready. Maryna taught me the real side of production, having the eye to see the things that no one else sees, (attention to detail). Her training was from something as small as making sure that the spellings of people's names are correct and good communication skills on emails to big things like Production budgets. She took me from being just a creative, to being a multi skilled production person. There is never a day in my work, that I don’t practice any of the theories that she taught me. She teaches with love and clear understanding of what she is talking about. Her knowledge of production and experience is invaluable.

I was privileged to have been trained by Maryna!
As a facilitator, she taught me some very important principles in work ethic that I have found useful in my day to day work.
The training under her facilitation was no walk in the park, but it is because she has high standards that she wanted to see us all reach for.
She truly equipped me with the skills that have given me the confidence to overcome many challenges and achieve endless goals.
